Can post-season contests be broadcast as part of the NFHS Network School Broadcast Program?

Yes, NFHS Network SBP schools can webcast a post-season contest live if approved by the UIL. Submit the School Telecast Request Form at least two days prior to the contest to be considered for approval. Not all requests will be approved.

Do I need permission to do an NFHS Network SBP telecast of a regular season contest?
Yes. To do a telecast of a contest that occurs during the regular season, you must get prior approval from all schools involved. If the event is occurring at a neutral site where neither team plays its regular home games, you must also get approval from the venue.
Does an NFHS Network School Broadcast telecast qualify as an Academic Telecast?
No. Since the NFHS Network is a subscription service and a fundraising tool for schools, a telecast within the SBP does not qualify as an Academic Telecast.

Academic Telecast Definition: An Academic Telecast is a television broadcast with an educational purpose that is produced solely by a UIL-member school and/or school district primarily using school facilities, equipment, staff and students without any commercial relationship for the financial benefit of another party.
