Substitutions
Substitutions, including the use of alternates, may be made in writing by the director, principal or superintendent. Substitute Eligibility forms are found in the Academic Coordinator's Manual and under Theatre Resources & Forms on this website. A letter certifying eligibility that is signed by the school's administrator may be used in place of the certificate. [See C&CR Section 902 (g)(1)(B).] The forms or letters shall be given to the contest manager and be sent to the Academic Chair at the appropriate level who shall make the changes online by midnight on the Monday following the contest. The same procedure is used for adding directors. A letter from the superintendent or principal verifying that the new director is a full-time employee of the school district should be given to the contest manager and sent to the appropriate level Academic chair following the chart below.
Additions to the Eligibility Notice, after the deadline, for students not listed on any viable Eligibility Notice require a majority consent of the appropriate executive committee or Academic Meet Director, if authorized. A letter, signed by the superintendent or designated administrator, certifying both the eligibility of the student and the fact that the appropriate executive committee or the meet director has approved the late entry shall be submitted to the contest manager prior to the beginning of the contest.
