Judging Philosophy

Rounds judged:
Judging approach: Policy Maker
Policy priority: Communication skills and resolution of substantive issues are of equal importance
Evidence philosophy: Quality of evidence is more important than quantity of evidence
Paradigm: I'm alright with spreading as long as the speaker is articulate. I want debate on policy and not presentation; if a speaker attacks individual points without attacking the issue at large I tend not to favor their argument. I want evidence of a good quality and from reliable sources. I do not tolerate unsportsmanlike behavior.

Rounds judged: 4
Approach: Resolution of substantive issues is more important than communication skills
I require a well spoken, well researched and well articulated speech. I like clash, and the systematic dismantling of the opposing case is what I'll usually vote for.
