Judging Philosophy
CX
Judging approach: Policy Maker
Policy priority: Resolution of substantive issues is more important than communication skills
Evidence philosophy: Quality of evidence is more important than quantity of evidence
Paradigm: Debate is all about substantive resolutional clash. Any and all arguments are fair game as long as: a. the affirmative literally defends a topical plan, and b. the negative can demonstrate that their offensive arguments have offensive (not omissive!) links to the plan.

Approach: Resolution of substantive issues is more important than communication skills
Philosophy:
Debate is all about substantive resolutional clash. Any and all arguments are fair game as long as: a. the affirmative literally defends the resolution or a representative example thereof, and b. the negative can demonstrate that his/her offensive arguments have offensive (not omissive!) links to the substance of the affirmative advocacy.
