Judging Philosophy

CX

Rounds judged:
Judging approach: Tabula Rasa
Policy priority: Communication skills and resolution of substantive issues are of equal importance
Evidence philosophy: Quality of evidence is more important than quantity of evidence
Paradigm: I am pretty open. Find where the weakness is in your opponent's case/arguments. Communicate to me! Communication skills are important. If I can't understand your points, it doesn't do any good. I don't particularly care for K's but will listen to them- they need to be really good, and not ridiculous. Spreading and/or rudeness will almost always result in a loss.

LD

Rounds judged:
Approach: Communication skills and resolution of substantive issues are of equal importance
Philosophy:
Once again, find the weakness in your opponent's arguement. Communication is important. If I can't understand the best case in the world, it does no one any good. Rudeness will almost always result in a loss.
