Judging qualifications:
In high school, CX Debate was my passion and I advanced to the 2A CX Debate State Meet my junior year as well as my senior year, in which my partner and I received bronze medals. Throughout my last two years in high school, I won five tournaments and am quite familiar with what is necessary to vote one way or the other. I completely understand the fundamentals of debate and speaker quality. I am a TILF scholar attending college and I miss being able to compete and I would love the chance to be involved in debate again.

Judging Philosophy

Rounds judged: 0
Judging approach: Stock Issues
Policy priority: Communication skills and resolution of substantive issues are of equal importance
Evidence philosophy: Quality of evidence is more important than quantity of evidence
Paradigm: I look for effective presentation of the basic stock issues and defense against negative arguments that oppose the stock issues presented. While off-case attacks can be effective when the link is strong, on-case arguments are more important to me and will be closely considered when I vote.
