Currently coaching?: No

Number of years coached:

Number of tournaments judged: 0

High school attended:
Garland High School

Graduated high school: 2014

Participated in high school: Yes

Participated in college: No

Judging qualifications:
I competed in LD and Extemp in high school and also competed in Prose in regular tournaments and in UIL. I am hesitant to judge LD because I didn't compete on the UIL circuit in that event and it was earlier in my high school career that I competed in it at all. The other 2 events I am very confident in.

Judging Philosophy

Rounds judged: 0
Judging approach:
Policy priority:
Evidence philosophy:

Rounds judged: 0
Approach: Communication skills and resolution of substantive issues are of equal importance
The students need to be able to effectively communicate their points and be able to defend any attacks that their opponent makes using sufficient evidence. I do not like spreading, while I understand the purpose of it and the skill it takes to master it, I prefer to be able to easily understand the words being spoken and be able to better concentrate on how they build the argument, not focus on just understanding what is being said. Quality of arguments matter more to me than quantity.
