Judging qualifications:
I was a high school policy debater throughout high school where I was co-captain my senior year. My partner and I competed in TFA, TOC, and UIL frequently. I helped coach and was an extra judge for my team for my first two years of college, but am no longer coaching due to school obligations. This is the only year I have not judged policy debate. I also have experience judging prose and other speech events.

Judging Philosophy

Rounds judged: 0
Judging approach: Tabula Rasa
Policy priority: Resolution of substantive issues is more important than communication skills
Evidence philosophy: Quality of evidence is more important than quantity of evidence
Paradigm: I am okay with spreading so long as it's clear, and if it is not then I will let the debater know. I consider myself to be a tab judge. I am not here to tell people what to debate about, so as long as it is relevant to the resolution it's fine with me. I am okay with k's so long as they are well supported and relevant to the aff. I like well constructed, logical arguments with good impact calculus. When it comes to arguments, quality over quantity.
