I have had over four years of experience in CX debate, prose, and poetry speech. I have competed in multiple invitational tournaments in speech and debate as well as competed in four district events. Have also qualified for CX Debate at the state level. Was team captain for CX debate team in high school for three years and provided guidance to fellow team members in the form of engaging and judging mock debate rounds and with case writing. I am very well informed of the rules and regulations with CX Debate and have the knowledge and experience to effectively provide critiques and guidance for students looking to further their skills in debate.

Judging Philosophy

Rounds judged: 0
Judging approach: Stock Issues
Policy priority: Resolution of substantive issues is more important than communication skills
Evidence philosophy: Quantity of evidence and quality of evidence are of equal importance
Paradigm: My overall paradigm for CX Debate primarily consists of stock issues (e.g. Topicality, Harms, Solvency, etc.) and the importance of beimg able to clearly articulate these arguments effectively. The arguments used should be based primarily on evidence rather than opinion alone and the evidence used should substantiate the cases for each team.
