Speech and debate are at the heart of the curricular experience offered in Trxas schools--every student should experience it. I debated in high school for four years, winning 2nd place at state in Lincoln Douglas Debate. Extemporaneous speaking was my favorite event and I enjoyed competing at all levels of competition. I hold a BA in American Studies (an interdisciplinary degree program) and a MA in History from the University of Southern California. Currently, I work as a fundraiser for Southwestern University--a private liberal arts college in Georgetown, Texas

Because LD is a value based debate, students should be able to present cohesive and comprehensive arguments that fully integrate their value propositions. Students should flow cases well in order to demonstrate significant clash.
