Judging qualifications:
I competed at various UIL and private speech and debate events in high school, with McKinney High School from 2002-2003 and with McKinney North High School from 2003-2006. In 2006 during my senior year of high school, I was asked to judge tournaments that I was not participating in. I have judged various events at all levels. Speech and debate is my passion. I attended debate camp at West Texas A&M University 3 years in a row. I stay up to date on current happenings in UIL.

Rounds judged: 0
Approach: Communication skills and resolution of substantive issues are of equal importance
Philosophy:
Above all else, I adhere to the UIL guidelines. I believe in judging the current round and ignoring any previous arguments and performances from the debaters. The idea behind debating well is to establish your stance on the issue at hand, and refute your opponent to the best of your ability. I won't count off for lack of confidence because I believe that you grow your confidence as you go along and I remember what it is like getting started as a competitor.
