Judging qualifications:
I have been involved in debate for all four years of high school, participating in dozens of tournaments and I am a one time district high point speaker, a 2 time district champion, and a 3 time State qualifier in CX Debate, finishing in the top 30 every year. I also have participated in exempt speaking for four years always placing in the top five in my area. Also, I participated in UIL Student Congress, and was an alternate for state, as well as competing in UIL One Act Play, earning honorable mention all-star cast and advancing in the play to district. I have trained several teams in CX debate for my school. Also this year I was able to participate at a UIL Super Conference at Corpus Christi, running a demonstrative debate to train students how to compete in UIL CX Debate.

Judging Philosophy

CX

Rounds judged: 0
Judging approach: Stock Issues
Policy priority: Communication skills and resolution of substantive issues are of equal importance
Evidence philosophy: Quality of evidence is more important than quantity of evidence
Paradigm: I vote mainly on Stock Issues, but I want to see Impact Calculations from each team, and I don't want disadvantages and advantages ignored. I will listen to any argument or case presented as long as it is ran correctly, explained well, and it is proven by the presenter as significant and relevant to the debate. I ask that speeding/spreading be kept to a minimum in a round, and if I can't understand what you are saying due to speeding/spreading it will be hard for me to vote for your team. I think that debate as a whole should be enjoyable, so I ask that no one is rude during the round. Feel to ask me anything before the round.
