Judging Philosophy

Rounds judged: 0
Judging approach: Stock Issues
Policy priority: Communication skills and resolution of substantive issues are of equal importance
Evidence philosophy: Quality of evidence is more important than quantity of evidence
Paradigm: I want to hear quality arguments and I want quality communication skills shown throughout the debate. If someone becomes rude or speeds I will put my pen down and vote for the other team. Debate is an educational and professional competition. I understand that you cannot prepare for all different types of judges, so I will prefer stock issues but I will vote for a policy type case if no stock issues are not presented. I will listen to counterplans and Ks but I want them to be quality arguments and if it is off the wall make sure there is evidence to back it up. Make sure that you at least tell me how you are linking and/or attacking the case.
