Judging qualifications:
I debated 4 years in high school, doing both CX and LD. We competed mostly in UIL, but we did a few TFA tournaments and went to the NFL qualifying meet one year. In 3A UIL State CX competitions, I placed 5th with my partner my junior year and 3rd my senior year. I'm a freshman in college, still looking for the right debate event to compete in as a college student. I'd like to judge on the weekends and I can judge State and Regionals if needed.

Judging Philosophy

Rounds judged: 0
Judging approach: Policy Maker
Policy priority: Communication skills and resolution of substantive issues are of equal importance
Evidence philosophy: Quantity of evidence and quality of evidence are of equal importance
Paradigm: I'm a policy maker, but I'm pretty tab as well. I like for important things to be argued in round, and I firmly believe in voting for whoever is winning on the flow. Impact Calculus is important for me, I need to know why you win. I will pull the trigger on T, theory, or framework if opposing team is clearly abusive, but I hate a sob story trying to get a win. Speed is okay with me.
