Judging Philosophy

Rounds judged: 21
Judging approach: policy maker
Policy priority: Equal
Evidence philosophy: equal
Paradigm: Although I believe stock issues are important in UIL debate, I default Policymaker. I have to hear some disadvantages from the 1NC. I also love counter plans. I believe that the Affirmative must defend every argument. At the end of the round I will vote for the best policy. I will vote for the team that can convince me that they outweigh the other team. If your strategy involves kritiks and theory arguments, that fine. I have experience with kritiks and theory. Just remember that I will default to Policymaker, so you'll have to work on convincing me. I believe topicality is an extremely important Negative tool, to win on topicality you must convince me that the Affirmative case is abusive. It'll most likely come down to the definitions and standards, but I enjoy topicality debates.
