Judging Philosophy

Rounds judged:
Judging approach: stock issues
Policy priority: Issues
Evidence philosophy: quality
Paradigm: I think highly of stock issues and hold the affirmative team accountable for any arguments raised by the negative. At the same time, I consider logical and analytical arguments equally valid.

Rounds judged:
Approach: Communication
Though I am not an LD debater, I have observed several rounds in competition and have come to the conclusion that verbal communication trumps resolution due to the fact that opponents' standings are predetermined.
