Judging qualifications:
I am qualified to coach Extemporaneous Speaking because I immersed myself in current events and politics while in college. In addition to majoring in political science, I worked at the James A. Baker III Institute for Public Policy at Rice University, a public policy think tank, for more than five years. Additionally, as a licensed attorney in the State of Texas, currently practicing with the Social Security Administration, I believe that I have the practical knowledge and educational background to coach Cross-Examination Team Debate. In addition to my relevant work experience, I was member of my college mock trial team and I participated in a moot court competition while in law school. Finally, I am qualified to coach Lincoln Douglas Debate because I previously received extensive training on logic, ethical values, and philosophy in college and law school, and I currently receive such training through required continuing legal education courses.
