Judging Philosophy

Rounds judged: 0
Judging approach: tabula rosa
Policy priority: Equal
Evidence philosophy: quality
Paradigm: Stock issues are important but, listing stock issues and not explain them is not appropriate. Reading sources for the sake of reading them is not acceptable. To win a round the aff needs to clearly defend their case with full knowledge of the information that they are presenting. They must also completely defend and acknowledge the negatives arguments. For the negative, it is important that all disadvantages and topicality be presented in the first negative speech. This is a polite and should give the aff enough time to refute the negatives most viable arguments. Policy is a good approach but, when it comes down to it, stock issues will win the debate.

Rounds judged: 0
Approach: Equal
Will go into the round without my own opinion and clearly focus on what is presented in the round. Evidence may be used but, very little. Morals should be presented over evidence unless it is an outstanding circumstance.
