Judging Philosophy

Rounds judged: 18
Judging approach: tabula rosa
Policy priority: Issues
Evidence philosophy: quality
Paradigm: I believe my judging paradigm is an issue to be debated in the round. I default to a policymaker paradigm if the issue isn't debated. I'm open to any kind of argumentation; I don't judge arguments before I hear them. I look for logical, warranted arguments. Evidence is very important.

Rounds judged: 20
Approach: Issues
I believe my paradigm is an issue to be debated in the round. I default to voting for the debater who best proves that the resolutional action she or he advocates best furthers achievement of the highest value in the round, as measured by a valid criterion. Evidence is very important. I expect clash concerning the standards.
