Judging qualifications:
I competed for 2 years at Taft HS (NISD) in San Antonio, TX.  I've been teaching since 2009: while at Wagner HS (Judson ISD) I coached debate and interp for two years along with teaching English; then I moved in 2013 to O'Connor HS (NISD) to become the Director of Forensics as well as teach Comm Apps.  Most recently, I served as one of the event directors for Prose at the UIL Regional Meet at UTSA.

Approach: Issues
I believe that an LD round is won by the debater who presents the most logical and reasonable case either affirming or negating the resolution. Although speaking ability is important in communicating ideas during a round, it is never something I weigh heavily in making my decision as to who won. I leave my personal opinions on resolutions outside of the round, so debaters' arguments, as long as well-supported, are all accepted.
