Judging qualifications:
I have competed in (5 years) and judged at (20 years) tournaments in all of the above events over the last 30 years. I feel I am qualified to judge any and allof the events listed above. My strongest areas are prose/poetry, extemp. But I am great at L/D. Out of the two debates, my weakest is CX. But being at a larger school this year, I want to get better, so the best way is to emerse myself in it as much as possible. I love judging L/D.

Judging Philosophy

CX

Rounds judged: 5
Judging approach: tabula rosa
Policy priority: Equal
Evidence philosophy: equal
Paradigm: I am tabula rasa. I enjoy debate that is full of clash, yet still within the rules and guidelines of the contest. I want to see the artform of debate come through, not just who has the best evidence.
