Rounds judged:
Approach: Issues
I believe LD is a great way for students to explore issues through research and then learning how to properly structure and deliver a persuasive speech. In the round whoever demonstrates the most knowledge concerning the Resolution in support of their case, can effectively demonstrate the link between the criterion and the value and then the value to the resolution, and is able to sufficiently answer their opponents case will win the round. I wouldn't say I'm a pragmatic judge, but I do like REALISTIC real world applications.
