Judging qualifications:
I attended Stanton High School where I CX'ed for two years, placed in district the first year and advanced to the second day at state the next year. I have attended numerous clinics and a camp in Lawton, OK. I understand the in and outs of writing, researching and presenting both affirmative and negative cases. On top of the two years of CX I also tried my luck at a year of LD, I made it to regionals before I was knocked out. I miss being involved in debate and would really enjoy judging at any level, preferably in CX.

Judging Philosophy

Rounds judged: 0
Judging approach: stock issues
Policy priority: Issues
Evidence philosophy: quality
Paradigm: Having a strong base on the stock issues is essential for the affirmative to win, confident communication of one's ideas are important as well. Negative must present a convincing reason for the issue of the affirmative to be considered unacceptable. Etiquette must be observed by the participants in order to keep the flow of the debate moving smoothly.

Rounds judged: 0
Approach: Communication
Emotional arguments loose points. Logical, sound arguments are what I will follow, evidence holds little weight, one can always find something to refute the other.
