Rounds judged:
Approach: Equal
Philosophy:
Oratorical skills matched with logical/critical thinking make for a convincing case. Quantity of evidence or speed of presentation is unimportant. Rhetorical skills combined with a thorough, logical, topical case is ideal. Quality of argument in rebuttals is ultimately more telling as to the skills of the debator than is their scripted speech. Appearance unimportant. Emotiveness and expressiveness are only to be considered pluses when expressing a thoroughly logical, well-thought out case. I also frown upon too much reliance on briefs or obscure "studies".
