Judging qualifications:
I was on the debate team at my High School. I was on State winning Current Issues and Events team in 2011, and the runner up the year before. In 2011, my team set a state record for points scored by any school size. I attribute my success to the fact that we had to prepare LD cases and give extemporaneous speeches on a regular basis in front of the entire class. The audience was graded on their ability to break down the speech or the debate.

Philosophy:
Without effective communication an otherwise brilliant argument is lost on the audience. Likewise a beautiful delivery is meaningless without substance. I look for a harmony of the two.
