Judging Philosophy

Rounds judged: 0
Judging approach: other
Policy priority: Equal
Evidence philosophy: quantity
Paradigm: I believe that the primary purpose of a debate is to challenge the students critical thinking skills. I look for students to demonstrate an understanding of their topic and the ability to engage their opponents in meaningful arguments and not simply who can read the most cards in the allocated time.

Rounds judged: 0
Approach: Equal
In LD debate, I look for students to clearly articulate their arguments and to demonstrate the ability to evaluate the quality of their opponents arguments in a clear and concise manner.
