Judging Philosophy

CX

Rounds judged: 13
Judging approach: policy maker
Policy priority: Equal
Evidence philosophy: equal
Paradigm: As a policymaker, i want to hear reasonable plans with effective argumentation and support. I am not interested in emotional or frivolous pleas or positions. I don't mind speed, but spreading is unnecessary. Emphasize your tags, warrant your arguments. I want to hear clash in the round. I okay with counterplans as long as they are run well.

LD

Rounds judged: 12
Approach: Equal
Philosophy:
As in CX, i want to hear reasonable arguments, effectively presented and supported. I am not interested in emotional or frivolous pleas or positions. I don't mind speed, but spreading is unnecessary. Emphasize your tags. Present sound warrants and links. I want to hear clash in the round. Evidence should support the main ideas presented in the round but are not the sole basis for winning the round. This is value debate. I look for who best achieves or upholds his/her value in the round.
