Judging Philosophy

Rounds judged: 12
Judging approach: tabula rosa
Policy priority: Equal
Evidence philosophy: quality
Paradigm: In short, I am fairly well-versed in any type of argument that a team wants to run, the only things i find really important are, firstly, run an argument correctly. Secondly I like to see some sort of impact calculus. Thirdly, I want a team to have good speaking style, I can understand spreading, but if its not done correctly and effectively then it does not have the desired effect. Effective communication is vastly important in a CX debate round. Evidence is also very important, it will outweigh analysis 99% of the time.

Rounds judged: 3
Approach: Issues
All I really look for in LD is good communication skills and substantial arguments. It is also very important that your value and criterion link in the appropriate way. Other than that im fairly versatile in the kinds of arguments that can be run.
