Judging Philosophy

Rounds judged: 10+
Judging approach: tabula rosa
Policy priority: Issues
Evidence philosophy: quality
Paradigm: I am Tab: I refer to whatever I am told to vote on regardless of how substantive I find the argument. If I am not told how to evaluate, I defer to an impact calculus of who has proven me that they will not only mitigate the most substantive impacts but also convince me of the realistic plausibility of those impacts occurring. However, I am very critical of T and Theory: if you want me to vote on it you must legitimately convince me that they are hindering your ability to debate. This means, don't run a T or Theory with a standard of preparation and then run a DA. I will not reject any argument on face, and do enjoy a GOOD kritik debate.

Rounds judged: 10+
Approach: Issues
Anything goes. You convince me how to evaluate the round. Run whatever type of framework you want. All that I believe is absolutely necessary is: 1. The affirmative must prove the resolution true to win my ballot. 2. The negative must either a) Disprove the resolution OR b) Disprove the affirmative to win my ballot. You can do so through any means necessary. I do not require you to run a value/criterion framework as I feel this is overlimiting the debaters. However, anything out of the ordinary must be well and properly warranted. If you go all in on a Kritik but it is not complete (link, impact, alt) then I will NEVER vote for it.
