Judging Philosophy

Rounds judged:
Judging approach: tabula rosa
Policy priority: Equal
Evidence philosophy: equal
Paradigm: I consider myself a tab-policymaker hybrid judge. My Tab side will vote on most any argument contingent on it being well thought out, delivered well, and applicable to the debate while the policymaker side values disadvantages; if an affirmative case has no disadvantages to it, then why shouldn't I vote for it despite the other stock issues? Counterplans I will vote on only if they are well developed, mutually exclusive, non-topical, and don't clash with the other arguments. CX, while policy driven, is a communication competetion, so effective communication is a must for me. I listen carefully to all arguments, so be careful when powertagging with me.
