Judging Philosophy

Rounds judged: 4
Judging approach: tabula rosa
Policy priority: Equal
Evidence philosophy: equal
Paradigm: I’m a pretty open minded judge and I like to enter a debate with a clear head. I enjoy CX periods because they allow me to take a mental ‘break’ from my thoughts and listen to what the debaters are picking up from each other. I will usually vote for quality over quantity in the debate, I need debaters to show how and why their argument is the most important.

Rounds judged: 4
Approach: Equal
I’m a pretty open minded judge and I like to enter a debate with a clear head. LD is all about value/criterion and how well the debaters articulate that and have evidence for it across the board.
