Judging qualifications:
I competed in both Prose and Poetry as a high school student, and assisted our coaches in coaching and directing younger students. As a college student I judged several TFA competitions and continued a recreational pursuit of theatre and dramatic arts. I am currently working toward teacher certification for the high school level and hope to serve as a UIL coach once I secure a teaching position. An avid UIL participant when I was in school, I am a firm believer in the many advantages and lessons gained when students participate in these academic contests. I work with high school students in a volunteer and mentor capacity, and I have a strong desire to see them succeed.
