Rounds judged: 60
Judging approach: tabula rosa
Policy priority: Equal
Evidence philosophy: equal
Paradigm: Topicality/Framework – Framework might be a hard sell to me. I think that most critical affs have a lot of impact turns to instrumentality and too man teams are just not addressing them. Theory – I found this to be a very usueful tool throughout my high school career and still a rather offensive tool in college. I believe that this debate is something many people just through out there in the 2AC so that the block wastes some time reading their block. Sure this might be a strategic move but I honestly think more can be done on these debates. Warning: If you really want to win theory you need to go balls to the wall on this debate because there is a lot of justification that needs to be done to justify a ballot. Kritiks - I ran them alot and am in general very well read in the critical area that you are talking about. If you are going for the K please make sure you have a well developed alternative or if you dont have one explain why its not necessary. CPs – Enjoyable. I think they are some of the most strategic arguments negative teams can come up with. There isn’t much to say here outside of make sure the CP is competitive because that’s always a good thing. Be clear, agressive and smart and you will be rewarded. Have FUN. If you have any other questions feel free to ask me.
