AUSTIN, TX— The State Executive Committee of the University Interscholastic League handed down decisions on the eligibility of student-athletes and issued penalties to a school for violation of UIL rules on Wednesday.
Student-athletes from Waco University High School, Katy Seven Lakes High School and Royse City High School were denied their appeals for varsity eligibility upholding the previous ruling of the district executive committees. After hearing testimony from all interested parties, it was ruled that the student-athletes changed schools for athletic reasons.
In other action, Austin Harmony High School was suspended from varsity athletic competition for one year for violation of Section 1208(c) of the UIL Constitution and Contest Rules.
