The State Executive Committee issued a two-year public reprimand and a two-year probation through the end of the 2013-2014 school year for all sports at La Marque High School.

Beaumont Ozen High School
The State Executive Committee issued a two-year public reprimand and two-year probationary period to the Beaumont Ozen football program. This probationary period will run through Feb. 15, 2014. The names of Beaumont Ozen High School will appear in the Leaguer for the entire time frame. Beaumont Ozen High School is also required to send Mr. Ed Stidham, Compliance Director, a “Plan of Action” for student disciplinary situations for the football program.
Beaumont Ozen – Jeff Nelson
The State Executive Committee issued a two-year public reprimand and two-year probationary period to Coach Jeff Nelson. This probationary period will run through Feb.15, 2014.

The State Executive Committee issued Coach Rod Wright of Richardson Berkner High School a suspension of coaching duties in any UIL member school district until August 22, 2012, with a 2-year public reprimand and probationary period, for Violation of Section 51(a) (6) and (10) and Section 1209 (f)(1).
The State Executive Committee issued Coach Derrick Osborne Little Elm High School a 2-district game suspension for this basketball season and a 2-year public reprimand and probation through January 17, 2014.

The State Executive Committee issued a public reprimand and 2-year probation for Houston Sterling High School through December 11, 2013, for Violations of 52 (a)(4), Failing to comply with applicable state laws regarding extracurricular activities and 1210 (a)(6), Non-compliance with the UIL Anabolic Steroid Testing Program.
Rules Changes for 2012-13

All amendments are effective for the 2012-13 school year, unless otherwise noted.
Constitution
• Section 1208 (z) – Alters the UIL Concussion Management Protocol regulations to be in compliance with state law.
• Section 301 (d) – Changes the notice requirements for proposed rules by requiring the notice to include a statement of potential fiscal impact of a proposed rule to member schools.
UIL Official Calendar Changes for 2011-12 School Year

UIL is officially announcing the following changes to the Official Calendar for the 2011-12 school year.
Golf and Tennis
1A District Certification for Golf and Tennis: Change from Wednesday April 11 to Thursday, April 12.
Baseball Playoffs (all conferences)
*Area Deadline – change from Saturday, May 19 to Saturday, May 12
Regional Quarterfinal Deadline – change from Tuesday, May 22 to Saturday, May 19
*No games in this series shall be played prior to Friday of that week due to STAAR tests. No travel is allowed in association with this series until at least the end of the school day on Friday, May 11. If there are any conflicts between an Area baseball series and the State Track Meet, it is recommended that schools schedule only a one-game series.
Softball Playoffs (all conferences)
*Regional Quarterfinal Deadline – change from Saturday, May 19 to Saturday, May 12
Regional Semifinal Deadline – change from Tuesday, May 22 to Saturday, May 19
*No games in this series shall be played prior to Friday of that week due to STAAR tests. No travel is allowed in association with this series until at least the end of the school day Friday, May 11. If there are any conflicts between a regional quarterfinal softball series and the State Track Meet, it is recommended that schools schedule only a one-game series.

The State Executive Committee issued a public reprimand and suspended Coach Shannon Davidson from Eustace HS for a period of three years, through May 17, 2014, from all coaching duties at any UIL member school district in the state of Texas for violations of Sections 51(a)(5), 1200 (f) and 1201 of the Constitution and Contest Rules.

The State Executive Committee issued a public reprimand and a two-year probation for Coach Gene Johnson of Cypress Fairbanks Cypress Ranch High School through May 17, 2013, for violations of Section 51 (a)(8), 51 (c) and 1478(b)(4)(B) of the Constitution and Contest Rules.

All items approved are effective for the 2011-2012 school year, unless otherwise noted. Items that are being submitted on a referendum ballot of UIL member school districts are so noted.

The State Executive Committee issued a public reprimand, a one game suspension and additional probation of two years, through January 18, 2014, for ejection from a contest while on probation to Brad Slatton, Basketball Coach at Fort Elliott High School.
